Finding and Organizing Tunnels¶
Quickly find tunnels and keep your list organized.
Searching for Tunnels¶
Use the search box at the top of the tunnel list to filter tunnels instantly.
How to Search¶
- Click the search box (or press Cmd+F)
- Type any part of the tunnel name
- Results filter as you type
- Press Esc or click X to clear
What You Can Search¶

Combine Terms
Search aws prod to find AWS tunnels with "prod" in the name.
Organizing Your Tunnels¶
Use Clear Names¶
Name tunnels so they're easy to find and sort:
Recommended format: [environment]-[service]
Archive Old Tunnels¶
When you no longer need a tunnel:
- Export it first (File → Export) as a backup
- Delete it from the list
- Your active list stays clean and fast

Understanding Status Colors¶
Quickly see tunnel status at a glance:

Tips for Many Tunnels¶
When you have lots of tunnels, these strategies help:
Group by Naming¶
Use prefixes to group related tunnels:
Then search aws-dev to see only development AWS tunnels.
Regular Cleanup¶
Every few months:
- Export all tunnels as a backup
- Delete unused tunnels
- Rename any with unclear names
Quick Access via Menu Bar¶
For tunnels you use constantly:
- Enable Menu Bar in Settings → General
- Click the menu bar icon for instant access
- Connect/disconnect without opening the main window
Common Questions¶
Can't find a tunnel?¶
- Clear the search (press Esc)
- Scroll through the full list
- Check if it was deleted (look in Connection History)
Search seems slow?¶
With many tunnels, try:
- More specific searches (
aws-prod-instead of justprod) - Archive old tunnels you don't use
How to rename a tunnel?¶
- Right-click the tunnel
- Select Edit or Rename
- Change the name
- Save
